A neighborhood studio for working with your hands

Slow down. Get your hands in the clay.

Terre Bleue is a small-batch pottery studio teaching wheel throwing, handbuilding, and glazing to total beginners and returning makers alike. No experience needed — just curiosity.

Classes

Three ways into the clay

Every class is capped at eight makers and led by a resident potter. Materials, an apron, and firing are included — you take home finished, glazed work.

The studio

Named for the glaze that started it all

Terre Bleue means “blue earth” — the cobalt glaze our founder mixed in her first apartment kiln, and the color that still runs through every shelf here. We opened in 2018 with two wheels and a folding table. Today it's eight wheels, a handbuilding bench, and a community of makers who keep coming back for the quiet of it.

Open studio hours are included with every class package, so once you've learned the basics, you're welcome to come back and keep working.
